Sir Charles Antony Richard Hoare (born 11 January 1934), commonly known as Tony Hoare or C. A. R. Hoare, is a British computer scientist. He developed the sorting algorithm quicksort in 1960.
The most important property of a program is whether it accomplishes the intention of its user.
Inside every large program, there is a small program trying to get out.
There are two ways of constructing a software design. One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies. And the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies.
